Online Slideshows While many full-color photos are included in each EuroCanals Guide, the number of photos is limited by the overall file size. New guides are now supported by online slideshows with up to 100 photos or more. The slideshows are accessed from links in the guide. The Burgundy/Central France and Eastern France guides are fully supported by new slideshows which show details that may be of interest to canal travelers, such as the locks, ports and even the actual type of dock used at a mooring. See the Sample Guide

Fuel Stations The lack of availability of fuel for boats in France often comes as a surprise to visitors from other countries; careful planning is needed when traveling through the waterway network. Maps and the tables in the above guides show the towns where fuel can be purchased, with directions to and telephone numbers for the station. See the Sample Guide

Cruising Logs in the above guides, as well as some portions of Belgium, give a kilometer-by-km listing of features along the waterway, such as bridges, towns, ports/haltes, canalized/river sections, fuel stations and more. The logs are very useful for planning each day's travel.
